Nigerian Army 2 Division Extends Shooting Range Exercise to March 5th 2024
Nigeria Army 2 Division Headquarters Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment on Monday announced that the duration for the ongoing Range Classification has been extended till 5th March 2024.
The announcement which was established in a press release signed by Lieutenant Colonel Polycarp Oloye, urged members of the public to remain calm on hearing sounds of firing during this period.
The Range Classification Exercise, which was earlier slated from Tuesday 27 February - Friday 2 March 2024, takes place at Major General Azinta Shooting Range, Adekunle Fajiyi Cantonment and designed to test and refresh the 2 Division Training School students, on weapon handling proficiency as required by the training curriculum.
The statement reads in parts " Sequel to this, please kindly note that the duration for the Range Classification has been extended till 5th March 2024.
"In view of this, all communities living around Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, are hereby informed not to panic on hearing sounds of firing during this period. Accordingly, those farming and hunting within the Barrack are advised to avoid the Range area throughout the period".
The 2 Division Training School, is holding Range Classification Exercise as one of the training requirements for Exercise Shining Star V/2024.
