IWD ; Participate for Inclusion - Oyo Govt Tells Women


Oyo State government has advised women to strive for great success in their field of endeavors, and participate for inclusion in the state.

The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affair and social Inclusion, Mrs Toyin Balogun who gave this advice streesd the importance of self care as a woman, as the strength to make a difference.

 The Commissioner who spoke during the Association of Women Orientation for sustainable Development in Nigeria's AWON, program marking the 2024 International Women's Day at the Women Development centre, Samonda, Ibadan, was ably represented by Mrs Igein Ibironke.


The Keynote speaker, Chief Mrs Grace Oluwatoye while speaking express her grief over the challenges facing women and failure of some state government to implement the 35% affirmative action, calling on Government at all levels to put an end the economic hardship.

Chief Mrs Oluwatoye, who is equally the founder of the women group AWON, 
She kicked against Tokenism where women are given a piece of meal opportunities in top positions.


The President of the group, Mrs Adekemi Akinade insisted that women's inclusion has become very poor in all areas, from the family, community at large and the country as a whole.

She called on the Government at all levels to embrace women's inclusion in governance in all sectors of the economy.
