USAID/Nigeria Holds Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award Review



The annual strategic review meeting for the ICHSSA-2 project, funded by USAID/Nigeria, began today on a high note with project staff from all implementing states in attendance as well as top management from ARFH.

 The ARFH management was led by the CEO, Dr. Kehinde Osinowo; Director of Finance, Mr. Tope Kazeem; Chief of Party, Dr. Felix Iwuala; Deputy Chief of Party, Mrs. Esther Brodrick-Shehu; and Director of Finance and Operations, Mr. Ayeni Omoniyi Oluwagbemiga, among others. 

The CEO, Dr. Mrs. Osinowo, tasked the project personnel to promote a positive image of the organization wherever they went while giving the keynote presentation. She praised the ICHSSA-2 initiative for its numerous accomplishments in the field of development, particularly with regard to its effects on HIV infected or affected vulnerable children.
 In keeping with the retreat's subject, "Emerging stronger in a competitive development environment," she pointed out that as the field of development is evolving, businesses need to be creative to stay relevant and have an influence.

Speaking, Dr. Felix Iwuala, Chief of Party for the ICHSSA-2 project, expressed gratitude to USAID and the entire project team for their efforts in reaching the several goals that had been set. He stated that the project had produced numerous successes, best practices, and effects. Among these were the establishment of six operational Adolescents and Youth Friendly Centers (AYFC) and the provision of Household Economic Strengthening to thousands of vulnerable Adolescents and Caregivers. He urged everyone to go above and beyond to make sure the project sustains its many successes.

Participants from partner community-based organizations in the states of Lagos, Edo, and Kwara will also attend the retreat, which is centered on team building, sharing of key learnings, program updates, and strategy for the ongoing fiscal year.
