Olubadan Confers Mogaji Aikulola-Aibinuomo Title on Prof. Aibinu
Prof Aibinu received the title along with five others on July 31st, at the Olubadan Palace in Ibadan.
The Olubadan in his address advised the newly appointed Mogajis to discharge their duties with utmost dedication to their extended families and the larger Ibadan community.
Olubadan stressed for the need to uphold the honor and integrity of different communities, avoiding actions that may bring embarrassment to Ibadan as a whole.
The title of Mogaji represents the headship of a large family and holds significant importance in Olubadan Chieftaincy Matters. It marks the first step in the hierarchy, with Mogajis serving as family heads, responsible for maintaining order and harmony within their clans.
The appointment as Mogaji is an essential milestone in the journey towards potentially becoming an Olubadan, and it requires substantial effort and competence to advance through the ranks.
Presently, there are over 2,500 Mogajis in Ibadan, each contributing to the welfare and cohesion of their respective families and the larger community.
The event was graced by esteemed members of the Olubadan-in-Council and dignitaries from across the nation.
