We will Pay Our Adhoc Staff With Cash - INEC


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday said the Commission has secured cash from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to conduct elections in which Adhoc staff will benefit from. 

Dr. Adeniran Tella, the Oyo INEC  Residents Electoral Commissioner (REC) while speaking with newsmen on a platform tagged "Speak Out" , Tella stated further that the commission was ready to conduct free and fair elections in the state.

Tella who advised those that have not picked up their PVC to do so, reiterated that the commission has put in more effort to restore people's confidence in the country election process. 

 According to him" a total number of  2,305,903 voters are expected to perform their civic obligation across Oyo in the 6,390 polling units spread across all 33 local government areas. A number of  2,305,903 Permanent Voter Cards(PVCs) have been collected while 760,766 PVCs are yet to be collected .

Organised by the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Tella assured that the election would be hitch free.
