Oyo Govt warns school principals against illegal fee.


The government of Oyo state under the leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde on Monday nullified the collection of unapproved fee by the government in public secondary schools in the state.

Makinde, who made this known through the state Head of Service Mrs. Ololade Agboola, tasked secondary school principals to comply with the free education policy established by his administration.

 Speaking during the meeting with Permanent Secretaries, and secondary school principals at comprehensive High School Oke-Bola Ibadan, Makinde said his administration had earlier abolished the payment of 500 Naira examination fee.

Agboola mentioned that the (Five Hundred Naira) examination fee across the secondary schools in the statete have been abolished, warning that no Principal should send student away from the school.

"I have the directive of His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde to discuss with you today, the school principals on how we can move the secondary school education foward in Oyo State".

He assured that, call centers where parents and the general public will report  school that refuse to stop collecting illegal fee.
