Oyo NAWOJ trains members on becoming outstanding professionals


The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists( NAWOJ) Oyo State chapter on friday hosted members to deliberate on how to become exceptionally good in their chosen career.

The association in close collaboration with Women in Media Development Initiative ( WIMDI) called for a rapid growth of women in media profession.

The event tagged "Women in Media Hangout was held at the Oyo Nawoj Secretariat, Oyo NUJ state council, Iyakanku, Ibadan.

Panel Discussants, Mrs Folake Tokunbo, and Mrs Bolatito Joseph in their separate discussions advised women to be up and doing,  attending trainings and re retrainings, this, they said would help individual's to remain relevant in the media job.

The two Discussants while speaking on the theme "Current trends in Journalism ; how to stay outstanding" concluded that diligence and hardwork contribute immensely towards becoming excellent professionals.

Earlier in her welcome address, Oyo NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Jadesola Ajibola disclosed that the program was organised to keep women Journalists abreast of the current trends in Journalism and to build the capacity of women in Oyo state.
