Women possess 65% voting strength, they decide who wins -Olaniyan

Women are the "salt of life" so they say ; this was affirmed on Tuesday by the deputy governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party in Oyo state, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan who disclosed that women contribute larger percentage towards winning an election.

Olaniyan, while speaking with members of the Online Media Practitioners Association ( OMPAN) at his Ibadan Office mentioned that women and youths have 65% voting strength, reason he said, the PDP government to be led by Engr Seyi Makinde would give them larger percentage of its lined up benefits.

According to him " It will be dishonest and disservice for an administration to win an election and neglect those who contributed immensely towards achieving the success" .

"I want to assure everyone that women and youths would be given special consideration and be well taken care of in the PDP government come 2019" .

The deputy governorship candidate while speaking on why he dumped ADC and how he was able to be considered to become Seyi Makinde's running mate, owing to the fact that he just joined the People's Democratic Party   explained " 8months ago there was nothing like African Democratic Congress ( ADC), when I joined, I discovered that the so called establishment has this thinking which was not in line with my own ideas, More also in February, there was re-allaignment , part of the re-allaignment brought me to PDP, because I cannot sit down on a spot when I know the right thing to be done to make life better for the people of Oyo state ".

"Fortunately I got to PDP and they needed a qualified person who hails from my town (Igboho) to be chosen as the deputy governorship candidate for  the party and I was found qualified"

"Myself and Engr Seyi Makinde have sat down and harmonized, I believe we  have many things in common, the important parts of it is that we are both engineers, and engineers deals with fact and figures, we will adopt this to ensure things are done rightly in Oyo State.
