Am on a rescue mission to reposition oyo state - Akala



A former governor of Oyo state, and the Action Democratic Party (ADP)gubernatorial candidateOtunba Christopher Alao- Akala on Tuesday disclosed that his vying for the governorship seat mainly for the purpose of repositioning the state which has been in a mess for the past 7years.

Akala who disclosed this at a public presentation of his agenda for the people of the state held at the Jogor centre, Oke ado, Ibadan, added that "Instead of criticising, I made myself available to guide the incumbent government on how best to run proactive and pro- people governance but the driver lacks the required goodwill".

While speaking on the theme " why I want to become the next governor" Akala said "My heart aches because 90% of the outgoing government's polices, programmes and projects are best described as anti- people which leave our people in pain and despondency.Today, the agriculture and environment, have been either neglected or bastardized.
"As a bonafide citizen, I'm seeking annother opportunity to govern the state from May 29th 2019 with a rescue mission to reposition the state for the betterment of our people and the investors.


The former governor assured that immediately after the inauguration of a new government come may 29th 2019, his administration shall hit the ground running by declaring state of emergencies in the education and health sectors of the state.

He also added that the dying LAUTECH, EACOED, The poly Ibadan and other state - owned tertiary institutions will be rescued and their prude statuses in the comity of educational institutions will be restored.

",My team are passionate about delivery results; results that have positive impacts on mankind. In fact I must say that the reflection of the present administration was an aberration that cane by way of the bandwagon effect that followed the election of President Muhammad Bihari.
