2019: Akala joins Oyo Guber race

Otunba Alao Akala, the former governor of Oyo State, today declared his intention to re- run for the governorship seat of Oyo State 2019.

His words; I Christopher Alao Akala having communed with my creator and due to consultation with the critical stakeholders, do solemnly offer myself to contest for the governorship seat of Oyo State come 2019".

Akala,  made the declaration at his Bodija residence  in Ibadan, during a visit by members of " Akala support group.

He maintained that the people of the state noted his achievements
when he had the privilege of occupying the office some several years ago.


Akala said he had observed intense politicking by governorship aspirants to occupy the Agodi government in the past few months.
