25 FRSC officials sacked over corrupt related offences - Oyeyemi
The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) through its Corps Marshall, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, has said to have relieved about 25 officials of their jobs in Abuja on Wednesday after various allegations of corruption were established against them.
His word "just yesterday I sacked 25 people over corruption related offences. I will still sack more. No corrupt office has any business being in the Corps as the Federal Government has done everything within its power to make us comfortable.
Speaking at the 2017 Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, on thursday, Oyeyemi said his leadership would not condole any form of indiscipline among officers of the Corps.
The FRSC boss pleaded for cooperation of members of the public in getting rid of corrupt officials.
"I will plead for the cooperation of members of the public to give information on corrupt officers and be ready to establish their allegations when they are called upon to testify against the erring officials," he said.
While delivering his lecture entitled "Road Safety in Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects" Oyeyemi declared that he had instructed his men to impound all road unworthy vehicles to reduce road accidents across the country.
