Accept responsibilities of your negligence, incompetence, says Alao-Akala

Alao-Akala said this in a statement signed by his media Consultant, Mr Abraham Ojo and made available to newsmen in Ogbomoso.
The former governor while reacting to the statement credited to the All Progressives Congress (APC) urge the party to stop blaming its non-performance on the past government of Ladoja and Alao-Akala.
He said that it was high time Ajimobi wake up to the realities of governance and accept responsibilities for his negligence.
"How can someone who had spent three years in office continue to blame his negligence and woes on past governments.
"I constructed a new bridge at Itamoko area of Ogo-Oluwa local government within few weeks when the bridge collapse".
"Also is another one at Odo-Oba area of Ogbomoso to mention few of those constructed by my administration.
"The Apete bridge had been awarded and re-awarded to different contractors in the last three years, how it is now Akala and Ladoja again. Are we the contractors? ," he said.
Similarly, Mr Bashiru Lawal, the Chairman, Accord Party in the state said that the Ajimobi-led administration should bury its head in shame.
"Ajimobi was sworn-in as governor in May and the bridge collapsed in October of that year. How does that concern Akala and Ladoja?".
"He could not construct a bridge of that small magnitude but constructed the Mokola Flyover at exorbitant price. That shows how much he is concerned about the welfare of Apete people," he said.
Lawal urged Ajimobi to resign his appointment if he could not handle the situation caused by his gross negligence and incompetency.
APC in a statement on Sunday had alleged that it inherited decayed infrastructure from the Ladoja and Alao-Akala's government.
"The Apete bridge and the 25 other which collapsed in the 2011 flood were products of the decay left behind by the Rashidi Ladoja and Alao Akala governments," It said.
The party in the statement signed by its Chairman, Chief Akin Oke warned the people to be wary of Ladoja and his “henchmen” whom he said “live a life of lie” with the aim of hoodwinking the people.
